Compliance and Conformance Assessment

The air carrier, in preparation for responding to FAA and or IOSA audit oversight, requires an assessment to be made of their documentation and performance based on FAA ATOS and or IATA IOSA Audit or DoD. ATP® Professional Services personnel, with years of senior air carrier operations experience, engages with the air carrier. The objective is to ascertain gaps in documentation related to FAA ATOS or IATA IOSA data collection tools. The air carrier, upon completion of the compliance and conformance then updates its internal documentation. Once updated, the documentation can then be shared with the oversight body demonstrating compliance and conformance.

ATP understands System Safety and the FAA's ATOS surveillance programs. Our experts have been involved with System Safety from its inception and have assisted numerous air carrier clients with their involvement in FAA's ATOS programs. Additionally, ATP has extensive air carrier experience and is able to assist air carrier in addressing both ATOS and IOSA requirements and developing improvements to existing programs through appropriate applications of content revision, process refinement, technology, personnel, and training. The work efforts to be accomplished culminate in air carrier having the following:

  • IOSA requirements mapped to the air carrier manuals
  • ATOS Safety Attribute Inspection (SAI) and Element Performance Inspection data collection questions mapped to air carrier manuals
  • Air carrier “Living” Letters of Compliance
  • Manuals that incorporate System Safety attributes and address IOSA audit requirements

A sound approach to the proposed project begins with a comprehensive understanding of existing flight and maintenance operations, manuals, and business practices. The following activities represent a summarized outline of the approach and the activities and are intended to be refined and expanded based on dialogue between air carrier and ATP.
