Historically, ATP has attended the conference specifically to support Bombardier’s technical publications team in the description and demonstration of our SpotLight® solution. This year, in addition to that, we exhibited at the Conference where our team focused on the ChronicX® application and its benefits for Bombardier operators.

 Bombardier All Operators Conference

The Benefits of ChronicX Recurring Defect Solution

ChronicX is a unique and innovative solution that helps airlines and MROs improve the health of their fleet. It identifies, consolidates, and ranks recurring/chronic defects across aircraft fleets regardless of the assigned ATA coding, and uncovers hidden trends. Greatly exceeding simple text mining and ATA code matching, ChronicX uses advanced natural language processing and fuzzy logic to analyze maintenance records (MAREPS) and pilot reports (PIREPS). This process uncovers clusters of potential recurring defects and emerging failure modes that have not yet reached a critical status, enabling maintenance engineers to allocate their time more effectively, properly assigning costly and critical emerging problems to the appropriate teams.

An Open Discussion With ATP Customers Using ChronicX

The Conference, once more, proved to be a great space that generated interesting and productive discussions. ATP held a round table with ChronicX customers and prospects. Our customers shared their experiences outlining the many benefits associated with ChronicX and described how its detailed analysis helped them transform their fleet and line maintenance operations enabling them to reduce incidents of Aircraft on Ground (AOG). This open discussion helped ChronicX prospects explore how they might also improve their fleet’s reliability and performance.

Aside from the first time experience exhibiting at the Conference with our ChronicX recurring defect management solution for airline operators, we were pleased to see how the new C Series customers were quick to gain insight from long-time customers, into the ATP troubleshooting solution. They shared experiences on how to deploy and maximize its benefits in the most effective manner. The ATP advanced troubleshooting system is deployed on the CRJ regional jets, Q Series turboprops and on the C Series aircraft to improve fault isolation and capture field experience.

The Bombardier All Operators Conference and Tradeshow proved to be a valuable and educational conference that provided significant networking opportunities with airlines, industry experts, program suppliers and the Bombardier executive team.
